Value and quality

I purchased the Cream Parcel Lockbox S100 series for $61.60 delivered. Honestly, I didn't have high expectations for this price. Expected maybe paper thin tin can and a lock that could be popped my hand. To my surprise, the quality is a solid 9 out of 10. Someone will have to work hard to get into this vault. Porch pirates will likely move on to the neighbor. It assembles relatively easily and includes all the hardware and you only need a #2 Philips screwdriver to assemble it. It is designed to be mounted on to the a deck or concrete and would be cumbersome to work the keypad with it that low and on the front. My idea is to mount it to an exterior wall so it will be higher up (note you have to provide standoffs to mount it this way do to the lid when opened) or another idea is to mount it on posts which would allow it to be with the mailbox. It opens with the provided keys or the keypad. The keypad that came with my unit turned out to be faulty. It took what seemed like forever to program it and also takes multiple times to open once set. Sometimes touching a key will register and others it does not. So I called customer service and I will be damned if they didn't answer immediately! I spoke with Jordan who was very professionally and pleasantly began to help troubleshoot which really amounted to trying different batteries. So I proceeded to demonstrate the issues I was having. The keystrokes chime when they register and it does make error chimes when something goes wrong so all she needed was to hear. Took 4 tries to get it opened but it did finally open (opens very nice and smooth). She heard that and immediately asked if she could ship me a new lock and keypad assembly. No need to bother with returning the old one. This kind of service is unheard of these days. Especially when you are already getting a premium built product. Pairing the two usually means a much higher cost. I will follow up once I get the new lock assembly but I have good faith all will be good as this experience so far has been.Update:Only 5 days later (including the weekend) and my replacement part came. They sent me the whole front panel so I wouldn't have to mess with the lock mechanism, breaking it's seal and possibly allowing it to leak. Accolades CleverMade! Before tearing apart the box to replace the panel, I tried out the keypad. Works flawlessly. Keys respond as they should. Code was easy to program and use. Box opens with the code, as it should. I suggest some white paint over the * key so it can easily be seen. Once the pad illuminates, it's easy to read. The experience has been VERY refreshing! Thank you.Another note to other users, if you have read some of the complaints about how easy it is to remove the bottom panel and take the contents, this is non-sense. Unless you are rural, I highly doubt anyone is going to take the time to remove all those screws, for everyone to see. This will take a little time. Time is not something thieves like. They want fast and easy. If you are still concerned, fill the screw slots with glue or something like that so now the screws cannot be removed and it's highly unlikely you will ever need to remove them again.

Edit: This box sucks. So does the company

2nd edit: This company is a total scam!! They said be a use I bought it through Amazon they can’t do anything. Amazon should remove ALL Clevermade products. They are not Clever at all. They are a scam.Amazon and UPS use to use it frequently. No issues until it stopped working. After 3+ years (not nearly as long as I expected) it just stopped working. To make things worse, Clevermade does not return calls or e-mails. It took from Dec. 11 until Jan 3 for me to get any response at all. I wanted to buy replacement parts, but that appears as if it cannot be done. Looks like I have to buy a new box, redrill more holes in my concrete to secure the new one. I am pretty upset with that. A metal box should last more than 3 years.
