MSA V-Gard H1 Safety Helmets, Tri-Vent, Green

I've had H1 V-Gard (Vented) Helmet for about 18 months. The more that I wear it the less I like it. For the price you should have better. Positive: Like the chin strap and the clips on the hard hat for securing a head lamp. The smaller overall size seems good. Negative: The suspension--the side head support will slip from the base (near my neck) to the top of my head which means that the tightness will change. For most people this isn't an issue but I do refinery inspection work which means standing or laying down inspecting something and it very annoying for the hard hat to be slipping around. For the price of this hard hat--you should expect better--this was a three star rating. The sweat band will really absorb sweat--set it down and then put it on and it has a wet slimy feeling. About two weeks ago I was getting ready to put it on and noticed that it was broken--the hard had clip for the attachment (ear muff) was broken. Didn't hit or bump anything. The only thing that I can think of is the stress from the ear muff. This is my the one star.
