LED Value UFO High Bay Work Light

I am quite impressed with this light. It is very bright and seems to be excellent quality. I have gotten a few AmazonCommercial items recently, and have been consistently impressed. This line of products does seem to be truly commercial grade and of noticeable better quality than the AmazonBasics line. This light is very heavy, with lots of surface area on the fins for heatsinking. This is very important for high powered LED fixtures, as the heat is generally what causes the electronics to fail before the LED die actually fails. The LED driver in this light seems to be of good quality, although I did not open it up to examine the actual electronics. The driver does not make any audible humming noises, and seems to drive the LEDs relatively efficiently. After a couple hours of running, I noted a maximum temperature of about 120F -- definitely warm, but not hot enough to burn you. This was in an ambient temperature of about 75F. The cover over the LEDs is glass and not plastic, which is important in this case because the LEDs are so bright they do give off quite a bit of heat. This is so bright you can actually use it as a heat lamp if you are within about 1ft of the lights -- and this is just from the illumination, not the heatsinks! I took a lux measurement about 1 inch away from the center of the lamp, and it read 390 klux. If you assume the light is evenly spread over a 30cm circle, this comes out to a lamp output of about 27,500 lumens. This assumption about the light spread is not perfect, but does indicate that the output is about what the specs claim. Also, note that this includes only the lamp and the hanging eyelet. Some of the product photos show a glass lamp shade -- this lamp shade is NOT included. Also note that this is meant to be harwired. I wired on a standard plug so I could plug it into any outlet. If you do not connect anything to the dimming wires, the light will run at 100% brightness, which is how I have it set up.
