So easy to program

I broke one of our openers while trying to change the battery. I ordered two new ones, just in case. The remote was so easy to program, just press the red button on the main unit once , point the new remote at it for 3 seconds while pressing the largest button on it and there you go. A working remote. Not quite sure how that works but it does. I will probably purchase a couple more. Thanks for making this so easy.

Didn't work and instructions are weird

I got my garage door opener to recognize this remote, and was able to open and/or close the garage door, but only about every third try and it would only fully open or fully close the door - not stop or reverse in the middle . I tried to program the other two buttons as close/stop buttons, but the instructions are not understandable. "press and hold the lock button on the door control" Does that mean the button you press on the wall-mounted control to lock out the remote? It didn't work. "press and hold the door control push bar." No idea what that means. After figuring out which buttons to press, you're supposed to release all buttons "when the opener lights flash." Makes no sense since the first step "press an dhold the large remote push button" of course turns the garage door opener light on and it stays on solidly. It's going back.
