adjustable for accurate temperature control
By michael n. yavorsky on Reviewed in the United States on January 6, 2025
I bought this heating mat to sprout various medicinal herbs. It worked very well and maximized my germination rates even for difficult to sprout seeds. When I was done, I began using it for something else. I have a little 4 pound dog that gets very cold in the winter on my hardwood floors. He sits in his little dog bed shivering. I took this heat mat, set it at 80 degrees and put it under his bed. He now sleeps comfortably with no shivering. I put a thermometer in the bed that has a wifi alarm, to make sure it didn't get too hot. It stayed at 80 degrees with no variation. I ended up turning it down to 78, where it stayed with no fiddling with the temperature control. I will use it again in the spring for sprouting seeds, when the pup no longer needs it. I love it when a product can be used for several purposes. The ability to change the set temperature made sprouting seeds trouble free, and being able to set the temperature at a steady rate enabled me to make the pup more comfortable. I couldn't have used my last heating mat in this way, as it was not adjustable. I am well satisfied with the quality and usefulness of this product.

Terrible customer service, heat mat broke after just one season
By CatMonkey on Reviewed in the United States on March 3, 2021
This heat mat worked great for the couple of months that I used it in 2020. Tons of heat, very responsive to the thermostat, and my tomato seedlings loved the warmth. At the beginning of February this year, I got everything set up and put my seeds on the heat mat under some lights. It didn't seem as warm as I remembered, but I thought that must have just been my imagination. After a month of use, I realized that it was barely warmer than room temperature. So I contacted iPower customer service on February 25th. I let them know that I purchased the item on January 29th 2020, and that I was experiencing problems. ------- Feb 26, 2021, 9:33 MST Thank you for contacting us. As mentioned in the previous email correspondence the item was purchased on last year 1/29 This item was out of warranty as the item has one year warranty. We appreciate your patience and understanding in the matter -------- Feb 26, 2021, 14:34 MST Thank you for your response. I must admit that I'm disappointed that despite the warranty being only for one year, that the company doesn't seem to care that their product failed at 13 months. Please escalate this to the next customer service level ------- Feb 26, 2021, 14:36 MST I'll take this an feedback and I'll forward this information to our service team. Thank you once again for bringing this issue to our notice. We appreciate your valuable feedback on our products. Thank you for your patience and understanding in the matter. ---------- Mar 3, 2021, 13:14 MST Is there any update on this from the next customer service level? ------- Mar 3, 2021, 14:18 MST Upon checking this with my resources your item is out of warranty as the item has one year warranty we were unable to create any replacement from our end. We appreciate your patience and understanding in the matter. Mar 3, 2021, 14:19 MST We have already shared your feedback to our internal team regarding this issue and make sure that this issue will be resolved with the future orders. We appreciate your patience and understanding in the matter. ----------- Mar 3, 2021, 14:34 MST I'd like to have this forwarded to a manager. ----------- Mar 3, 2021, 14:36 MST We have already escalated this information to our internal technical team. ----- Mar 3, 2021, 14:41 MST No, I want this forwarded to someone on the support team. It's absolutely absurd that this item didn't even last for 13 months. ----- Mar 3, 2021, 14:45 MST As mentioned in the previous email correspondence this item is out of warranty we were unable to create any replacement for the items with out of warranty period. ------ Tl;dr - item broke less than 13 months after purchase. Contacted iPower and they said, "tough luck"
