Well Made Unit

Really like this leaf blower. You need 2 batteries and a charger for extended use. Almost as powerful as my Steil gasoline blower. Also, it's almost as loud. Really enjoy the convenience. Clean, no gasoline or 2 cycle oil to contend with. You do not smell of gas fumes after use. You just have a charged battery, the unit, and go to work.I do my front lawn 60 ft x 60 ft of grass trimmings mixed with light load of leaves, 20 - 30 minutes. Pretty much the same for the backyard. Hard to how long the run time is, due to the variance in work load. I would guess 1½ hours and you would have to switch batteries. So, with 2 batteries one can charge while the other is working. Highly recommend.

I Really Wanted to Like This
By Terry C. on Reviewed in the United States on February 13, 2024
Okay………….lets get this out of the way. I am a huge Dewalt fan and an even bigger Dewalt Flexvolt fan. Overall it’s an amazing platform that has completely changed the small tool market. Without exaggeration, I have purchased dozens of drills, more than thirty impact drivers and no less than twenty circular saws, all in the flexvolt platform. I have purchased more than $10,000.00 in batteries and multi-port chargers. Overall, I’ve probable spent close to $50,000.00 on Dewalt flexvolt tools. Why? Because they are incredible values and being freed from dragging power cords around makes for a much more productive job site. With that as a backdrop I jumped in with this 60v blower. Is it powerful? Absolutely. But I am not exaggerating when I say that conventional back-pack blowers operate much quieter than this unit. There is absolutely no valid reason that an operator of a battery operated tool should have to wear hearing protection. And the noise does not seem to be coming from the wind generated but rather, just seems to be poorly engineered, sloppily manufactured construction. There is a grinding/whining which just seems to be coming from poor machining. Now this makes me wonder if all this grinding is contributing to the incredibly short battery life. Yes, this blower blows. It moves a lot of air, but it’s a miss on Dewalt’s part. Poorly designed and overall, it just feels cheap and is so incredibly loud that I hate using it. I wish I felt differently but it is what it is.
