The Best Smart Bulb for Effortless Lighting Control!
By Tianna G. on Reviewed in the United States on June 1, 2025
Why I Love This Bulb: 💡 Seamless Smart Control– Works flawlessly with Alexa, Google Assistant, and Apple HomeKit. Just say, Alexa, turn on the lights!"and it responds instantly. 📱 Easy App Customization– The Philips Hue app lets me schedule lights, set brightness levels, and create routines (like a gentle morning wake-up). ⚡ Energy-Efficient & Long-Lasting – Uses LED technology that saves power while lasting years(no more frequent bulb changes!). 🔌 Works with Hue Bridge or Bluetooth*– No hub required for basic control (but the Hue Bridge unlocks full features like automations). 🌙 Perfect Warm White Light – Not too harsh, not too yellow—just a **cozy, inviting glow ideal for living rooms and bedrooms. Bonus Perks: ✔ Dimmable– Smooth brightness adjustment from 10% to 100%. ✔ Reliable Connection – Never drops from my Wi-Fi like cheaper bulbs. If you want a premium, no-fuss smart bulb that just works,Philips Hue is worth every penny. Perfect for beginners and smart home enthusiasts alike!

Product works if you want to use it with the Philips hue app only but will not work with Alexa.

This product does work if you want to use it with the Philips hue app only but if you are looking to sync with Alexa, stay away! This product listing was on sale so I thought they were a good replacement of my sylvania smart bulbs that lasted me over 4 years and is synced to Alexa. Initial installation to the Phillips Hue app was fine and then i discovered it had issues linking to Alexa. I tried to add the device both through Alexa echo and my phone and none worked. I tried several bulbs and thinking it might be the bulb but they didn’t work. I then tried to add the Phillips Hue skill via Alexa and it says not available at this time but then pushing you instead to purchase a Philips hue base station to get it to work with Alexa. On top of it, one of the bulbs keeps disconnecting to my app. This a deceiving business practice and I refuse to be apart of it.
