UNSAFE! Almost caught fire

UNSAFE! I plugged a normal lamp in to one of these, and it puffed smoke inside the timer and blew out power. There was substantial heat inside the timer when I unplugged it from the wall. The lamp powered up fine after, it was a weird near-fire that the timer almost made within itself. The lamp was only like 7 watts, a normal desk lamp! I immediately threw both timers in the garbage so that I don’t burn my house down!
