Looks good, great customer service and charges fast! UPDATE JUN 2024
By Team Matthias on Reviewed in the United States on December 10, 2022
June 2024 Update: we’ve now been using this briefcase style solar panel for about a year and a half and are still extremely happy with it! We use it whenever we tent camp and go out in the RV. No problems, no issues and so easy to pack and use. Great travel solar panel! UPDATED REVIEW- Amazon promptly replaced the Rockpals Solar Panel and cable and all is well. The cable is in great condition and this unit charges our power station fast, as we were hoping for. ROCKPALS’ Customer Service representative, August, even reached out to me because of my review and pictures and offered to send a replacement cable to make this right; I think it’s wonderful that they watch the reviews and take notice when things aren’t right. I have to recommend this solar panel because of the portability, functionality and the way ROCKPALS stands behind the product….and it looks good! Dec 10 2022 - Received solar panel intended to charge my Jackery portable power station, set it up and took out the wire bundle…NOT GOOD!! See my photos. Amazon has accepted my return, so I will update this review when the replacement arrives, but in the meantime, we’re not happy with the lack of quality control. The panel seems awesome and the portfolio style is great…let’s see what happens.

It's alright - Gets 50-60watts on average in direct sun
By Dylan on Reviewed in the United States on February 22, 2021
It's an okay unit. Not the best for sure, it will get the job done for most of the smaller batteries out there, but if you have anything over 500, it won't fully charge it in a day more than likely. I live in Northern California, but my winters here are 35 in the low and 70 in the highs during winter (close to san francisco) In direct sun, without any cloud coverage at peak time, I get about 60 to max of 65 watts coming in from 100watt. In the morning around 8am or so, you get about 35-40 watts. I have not seen a single number for 65 yet. So this unit is losing about 35-40% efficiency. This is not very good in my honest opinion. I'm not an expert or anything, and can only speak off of what I know and my own testing. I have an ECOFLOW R600 PRO (720w/h battery) and an MC4 adapter that is connected to the MC4 to XT60 adapter. I get 35-65 watts in direct sunlight during the winter months in NorCal no matter the direction I point the panel and while it will charge, I was expecting something around the lines of 70-80 watts coming in considering "the high efficiency" rate this unit has. For numbers sake, if I average 50 watt hours, it would take 14-15 hours to completely recharge the ECOFLOW R600 Pro which actually boasts some great charging capability and acecpts up to 600+watts of input power. So it is not a battery limited device, this is limited by the solar panel itself. I do think the build quality is good. The built in kick stands are jokes, but work. It states it is waterproof, but doesn't recommend any water getting on it (so then it's not water proof, duhhh) Overall, for the price - I think you're getting what you paid for. I think buying a Jackery 100 solar panel will get you a bit better efficiency for the price and I think its build quality is better as well.
