Clear Power Indoor Timer 2pk w/1 Grounded Outlet

I ordered these thinking that the randomized feature wold be great for a forthcoming trip. The instructions say to plug in and allow to charge, then remove from the outlet and set the program. Trouble is, neither one wold hold a charge long enough to be programmed. Also, the directions say that there's a transparent film covering the display. Nope. I attempted to remove what wasn't there, ended up scratching the display face. Back to the drawing board. Maybe I'll stick with the analog push button timer that I already own.
