AMAZING BBQ/SMOKING/COOKING DEVICE!!!
By Mark S Raab (personal) on Reviewed in the United States on January 15, 2025
I purchased this unit a few years ago and dont normally leave reviews after that many years, in fact i dont leave many reviews due to time constraints. But I felt that i needed to leave one for this device. I am an enthusiast cooker both inside the house (via roasts and large meat cuts) but more importantly for me is my hobby (BBQ, Smoking etc) in warmer weather. This INKBIRD (IBBQ-4T) WiFi unit is AMAZING. It was the first device that allowed me to not be concerned about forgetting to check my meat-project while smoking all night (Briskets and Pork Shoulders) and gave me the confidence to actually sleep thru the night while smoking meats. Literally a lifesaver! The overall quality of this unit is also amazing, built to last years, and have never had an issue with performance related issues. Simply charge the device and youre ready. Its VERY easy to use out of the box, and its intuitive in nature which is important to me bc I dont want to take a college course to get started. Simply use the amount of probes needed to monitor your project, set the desired temperatures for each of the four probes...and that is IT! I also love using the magnetic adapter when cooking inside by simply attaching it to the metal on the front face of my stove and I am able to quickly monitor the temperature without opening the oven at all and losing precious heat that takes a lot of time to re-establish internally. I have used earlier models from ThermaPro and MEATR and i must say that INKBIRD has become my TRUSTED go to for all cooking needs that require my ultimate attention. Highly recommend this device to anyone that invests a lot of hard earned money these days to purchase their meats to feed their family and friends. Even if i were to be a professional, i would use this unit to safeguard my cooking. Bon Apetit!!! You wont be disappointed

Dead in 1.5 years and maybe 25 uses (Purchased June 2023, Dead December 2024)
By J. Hirsch on Reviewed in the United States on December 25, 2024
Purchased June 2023, Dead December 2024 First, one probe was always 'off' no matter how it was plugged in or adjusted. 4 probes in a cup of water? 1 reads 20F low. Never did get it resolved. Today, Xmas Dinner, I pull it out to monitor the Leg of Lamb. It's been about 3 months probably since the last usage- was put away full charged- and I keep a high quality charger in the box just in case. Unit fought to turn on, beeping flickering constantly- showed charged- and even plugged in would turn back off after 30 seconds. Fortunate I could see the temp if I watched it long enough- but let's be honest here, it's a temperature probe with a touch screen. There shouldn't be so much to break. As a positive the push / remote monitoring was nice- could check the temp of the smoker from the bedroom. Only wish I'd gotten more use out of it before it went belly up. At nearly 80$ however I'd rather have 2 or 3 instant read push probes and make the 'epic journey' down to the smoker once or twice at night.... rather than have another tech brick which fails to do it's job. Tried to get a video of it randomly turning on and off, fully charged, but just don't have the patience while trying to cook dinner.
