Powerful, kinda heavy

Noone likes edging the yard. This makes it much easier. It's powerful. It is heavy. Better than the old manual edgers. The box arrived so damaged, the delivery person reported it. It was fine when I opened the very damaged container.

The plastic guard on the back, that keeps the blade from throwing dirt on the operator's shoes, broke immediately within the first minute of operation. It is a hard plastic part that screws on. My Ryobi edger has a flexible rubber flap. The soft flap is a much better design. Dewalt said I had to call Amazon because it is within the 30-day return window. Amazon said to contact Dewalt. I called the seller, CPO Outlets, but have not heard from him. I love my other Dewalt tools, but this is a poorly designed part.
