Well-rounded is right

This has been my usual pocket tool so, when it was lost on a trip, I bought a new one without hesitating. It is small and light enough to carry, but large enough for real work. The pliers are tough enough for reasonable use and the tips mate so precisely they can sometimes be used as tweezers. Screwdriver tips are well-finished (the Phillips with a rough texture that grips screw heads) and well-chosen. I like the smallest one, which works on many small adjustment screws. The knife is delicate and won’t take abuse, but has a long edge and a point. It is dulls easily, though. The file is, unusually, good enough to work on mild steel, has one single- and one double-cut side and a square slotting edge. There are some small but clever features. A holder for 1/4” driver bits holds them tightly when you squeeze the grips and releases when you open them. A protractor feature seems like it should be useful but I’ve never used it. Some ruler edges that are hard to read. All the tool blades lock, though not all are easy to open.

Not one that I can recommend.

Coming from using the PowerAssist for years the PowerAccess is a bit disappointing. My review will be based on my experience from the PowerAssist and comparing it to the PowerAccess. Short Review: Stiff out of the box Pocket Clip digs when in use Super tight screws striped out when trying to remove. Sub Par can opener No replacement parts (at the time of review) Here are the details: The action is super stiff right out of the box, that's not a problem as it should get smoother within use over time. I believe it's stiffer so that the 1/4 socket cut can get a better grip on the bits you put in. I liked the idea of a pocket clip however it feels uncomfortable when using in hand, so I tried to remove it. I advise extra care if you were going to try and remove the pocket clip, or just live with it. The screws are mounted way too tight, to the point that I had to use a dremel to cut slots in because my driver were striping the screws. When I finally got them out I realized the reason they were so tight was because they were caked on with lock tight, the amount on one screw was enough to cover all the screws. I ended up buying new screws for it since the originals were dinged up from the dremel. The file and screwdriver heads feel about the same. No worries here The can opener is worse than the one on the PowerAssist and it barely even works without frustration, by far the most disappointing part of the multitool. (Victorinox and Leatherman tools have ones that work flawlessly) It's been years since I have the PowerAssist and I would think they have improved upon it by now but somehow it went the other way. I wanted to replace the knife component with a saw since I carry a folding knife on me, little did I know that they (at the time) do not have replacement parts for the PowerAccess as the locking mechanism is different and the current replacement parts they have will not fit. Judging from the pictures I do not think there's a way to modify them to fit.
