Wera 05022640001 950/9 Hex-Plus Imperial 2 Key Set

The color on these is applied by a plastic coating: what looks like heat-shrink tubing. Regardless, it adds probably 1-1.5mm of diameter to the shafts. In my experience, hex keys are often used in places with very little clearance. Well, this added girth frequently makes it so that these keys can't get where they need to go. You could cut off the plastic, but (1) that's where the key sizes are labeled, and (2) the holder relies on the keys being that thick in order to hold them. I suppose you could just cut some of the plastic off. Still feels like a very ill-considered decision. Other manufacturers just use paint to color-code their hex keys.In addition, on this "imperial" (inch) set, the selection of sizes isn't great. This set includes 3/8", 5/16", 1/4", 7/32", 3/16", 5/32", 1/8", 3/32", and 5/64". In particular, there's no 1/16", no 7/64", no 9/64", and no 5/16". It feels like they should have released two sets: one for smaller sizes (which could also include some common sizes below 1/16"), and then another set for larger sizes. Or just make a larger set. I imagine they couldn't do that because they wasted so much space with the plastic coatings.
