APP no longer supported, can't change temp/color/brightness of light
By Alphabetlicks on Reviewed in the United States on June 21, 2025
Lights worked as intended. At times they'd lose connection and could be hard to re-pair to the wifi/app. As of 6/18/25 I have been unable to use my lights via my phone or echo. Unable to log in to app, Unable to make a new account, Unable to Reset Password. "<Operation Failed, please try again>" Upon searching Sengled on google <Sengled app down> was the first dropdown. Leading me to a Reddit with 850upvotes and 1.8k comments at the time of this review. No statement has been made from the company, No email, Offical site still up selling product, Amazon sales still up. CHOOSE ANOTHER LIGHT!

Works Pretty well!

I have updated my review because of the requirement for a "positive review" to receive a free product from them. it's unethical and amazon should not allow the practice. It's a huge decision figuring out which smart bulbs you want to buy, because you're probably stuck with them/the brand for a long time!! So I did my research on what I thought were the best/least expensive brand and decided sengled was "good enough" I went for the wifi option without a hub so everything is connected directly to my router. I currently have 10 lights hooked up to my router. I got my bulbs on sale for 20.99 Installation went very well! Took me about 20 minutes to set up 10 bulbs. I downloaded the app, plugged in the bulb. Added each bulb and each bulb took about 30 seconds to a minute to fully connect. I had to reset a few bulbs which all you have to do is turn the light switch on and off 5 times really fast. It worked, but I could see how that could be annoying for some people if you accidentally reset or if you only want to reset one bulb, you'll reset all of them hooked up to the switch. I wish you could connect multiple bulbs at once, but you must do them individually, and it's actually easier to plug in one at a time. Connectivity. My Router is definitely a top model router, so I wasn't expecting any issues with connections, but I still find them to be a tiny bit spotty. 99% of the time they work the way I want, but sometimes the light's won't do what I ask right away unless I turn them on and off or wait a while. This is something I'll need to wait and see how they perform. One other thing I've noticed is you'll experience a bit of lag time when you turn your switch on to when the lights decide they will turn on. I think they turn on, connect to the router, then decide what color and if they should be on or not. It's about a quarter second or so, but it's not instant like non smart bulbs. When multiple bulbs are connected to the same switch, each bulb will act independently and it can be weird having very slight variations in the timing of each bulb turning on. The off switch is instant though. Functionality of the bulbs is pretty solid. They have virtually infinite colors, 100 brightness options 1%-100%. It's really fun messing with the colors and brightnesses. Each color can be different brightnesses as well. You can group bulbs in rooms, set timers, different color coordinations with scenes, wake up mode and sleep mode. The only ones that I'll want to use is the different scenes. I had hoped to see a rainbow/color changing option just to show off the bulbs or have some fun with them, but there is no such option I could find. I hope sengled adds this option to the app at some point. I don't have a lot of experience with other smart bulbs, but I'm pretty happy with my purchase. They are fun, pretty easy to set up and work overall pretty well even with 10 bulbs connected in 3 different rooms. If you get the wifi bulbs I don't think there is any option to connect to your google home or alexa. You need the hub if you want to do that. It would take a really long time to actually save money on electricity with the bulbs. These are more fun than money saving, but the app does show how much electricity each bulb has used, and I thought that was a pretty fun addition to the app. My previous bulbs were very hot to the touch, hot enough to burn my fingers. These get warm near the base, but are basically room temperature everywhere on the bulb.
