Excellent panel, Excellent customer support
By W Tom Kilgore on Reviewed in the United States on August 12, 2025
I purchased the 200w panel to mount on top of the camper shell of my F150. It worked well for over 2.5 years keeping my EcoFlow RiverMax power station charged and running my 12v cooler. On a recent trip, the bypass diodes were burned out, possibly due to an incorrect connection. I contacted Acopower support to either order new diodes or at least find out the specifications of the diodes so that I could repair the panel myself as it was still in excellent condition otherwise. They shipped the new diodes for free and they arrived in just a few days. I soldered the new diodes in and the panel is back to working as before!

Not as advertised.
By Bob Barker on Reviewed in the United States on October 27, 2024
I bought this 5 watt solar charger as it is advertised as a trickle charger with blocking diode. It is not. It is simply a solar panel that puts out up to 5 watts of 12+ volts DC. There is no blocking diode and there is nothing on the end of the wire to clip it to a battery’s terminals. So this can’t be used as a trickle charger without additionally buying a charging controller or at least buying a diode and some battery clamps and soldering these in yourself. This is like selling a bike with no wheels-sure it is essentially a bike, but you have to buy the wheels separately and install them on the frame to actually use it as a bike. That’s why anything sold as a bike comes with the wheels. This solar panel doesn’t come with what it needs to be used as a trickle charger.
