Easy to cut and position

This landscape fabric had good thickness to prevent light from getting through. But was also easy to cut to size and was a good price for a wider landscape fabric option. I paired this with some staples to help position and tack down the fabric and have high hopes that it will keep weeds from coming through the mulch I just put down. So far the finished landscape bed looks neat and should hold up better with the fabric layer below to keep the weeds down and the mulch from getting compacted too quickly into the soil.

Thick woven tarp-like material

I have used weed barrier in the past when lining flower beds under mulch. This weed barrier is nothing like those. Normally the weed barriers are a woven mesh like material that allow liquid through while stopping weeds from coming through. This one seems to be more like a loosely woven plastic mat. It will still serve my purposes since I am using it under raised beds but it is not like the weed barriers sold in the big box stores.
