I purchase 4 shelves for my small single car garage. These worked very well. I’m not sure what happened to the reviews, but when I purchased them there were literally thousands of positive reviews. Which is why I chose these over other brands. Anyways, I held onto these for a few weeks because there wasn’t 16 inch spacing on the provided guide (USA) and i debated returning them. Some of the previous reviews said these shelves wouldn’t work for US stud spacing some said they did and provided pictures. I needed no modifications (previous review suggested using 2x4 between studs and mounting shelf to that). I screwed into my 16 inch spaced studs. Placed the rack on and it worked. There’s a bit of give before everything is screwed together. Once each arm is attached to a stud, you can move the arms outward or inward quite a bit. Then place the rack and insert the provided screws. Once done, they are extremely sturdy. I immediately piled a bunch of stuff on them and they’ve held up wonderfully. They also go up relatively easily. If you know what you’re doing, maybe 20-30 min per shelf. Quicker if you have help.
