Backyard Nights Just Got a Whole Lot Better
By Tristan Knapp on Reviewed in the United States on July 4, 2025
We bought this fire pit for a camping trip, but it never actually made it out of the backyard—and now I’m not sure it ever will. The first night we set it up, we grilled burgers, made s’mores, and stayed out under the stars way later than we planned. Now it’s basically the centerpiece of every weekend evening. The setup was easy enough that we had it assembled before the sun went down, and the whole thing feels sturdy once it’s together. The mesh screen does a great job keeping embers contained, and the included fire poker is more useful than I thought it would be. You can tell it was actually designed by someone who’s used a fire pit before—nothing feels like an afterthought. What I didn’t expect was how well it works as a grill. We threw on a grate of skewers and some foil-wrapped corn, and it all cooked evenly over the wood. It’s not a giant surface, but it’s more than enough for two to four people, and it gives everything that smoky, grilled flavor you just can’t fake. It’s also surprisingly easy to move. We’ve taken it from the backyard to the driveway for neighborhood hangouts, and it doesn’t feel like a hassle. When we’re done, everything stores away neatly, and the cover keeps it looking good even in rain and sun. It turned a regular evening into a ritual. There’s something about a real wood fire that makes people slow down and stay a little longer—and this one does it really well.

DON'T BUY!
By Brooke on Reviewed in the United States on January 15, 2021
I like this product but I had a HORRIBLE experience with it. Two of the legs were a bit crooked and the ignition switch is hit or miss when it comes to lighting it. The top arrived with a small scratch on it. I would have looked past all of this and given it a 4 star review. It looks great and gives off nice warmth. When you roll in the propane tank the hose got bent and settled on something that started melting it. I have since read a review where someone's hose caught fire. I ordered another shorter stainless steel braided hose online but it was the wrong sized fitting 3/8" flare nut . I tried to find another hose but the 1/4" flare nut is impossible to find either online or at hardware stores. I emailed customer support of Serenelife (Pyle support) which was on my manual. I explained my problem and sent pictures of the damaged hose and my invoice. After several phone calls and going back and forth with them. They told me to return the item! They wanted me to take apart this 70 pound fire pit, repack it and somehow get it to a UPS store! Although they had more in stock (which means they do have the part) they said the parts department didn't have any hoses. I spent an entire day driving to hardware stores, propane stores, rv repair places. I finally ended up in a industrial plant store where the guys were able to piece together a reducer to make the new hose I bought fit. So, although I like this product (nonw that I have it working and safe) I would NEVER want anyone to go through the frustation and hassle I did. In my opinion for the price they should not be using a 3' rubber hose. It should be a 2' braided stainless steel one that won't melt. So BEWARE!
