Craftsman 36kW Tankless Water Heater RED

I've had nothing but problems with this since getting it. I should have done more research first, but it was a DIY cabin build-out, and I had limited space and limited power I could route to it, so this looked like it was the only thing that fit the build constraints. We're on well water, and have a lot of calcium in the groundwater here, unfortunately. Within a month or so of installation, the heater started clicking off, and I called customer support. After a bit of run-around, someone walked me through pulling the cover off and resetting the internal buttons manually to get it running again. Then I started doing a vinegar pump for a few hours every few weeks, to try to descale it, while having to pull the cover off and reset it again almost every time I needed hot water. It managed to hold up, limping along, exactly long enough for the warranty to run out, at which point it quit completely. I haven't had hot water in months, now. I feel like I should get an honorary membership to the polar bear club. During the summer, it wasn't so bad, because it gets hot enough here that a cool shower is refreshing. It's December, and cold showers are not refreshing anymore.
