Safety that’s super convenient!
By Flyboy on Reviewed in the United States on December 30, 2023
My smoke/CO detectors had reached their life limit, so it was time to replace them. I ordered the Kidde brand so that I wouldn’t have to rewire since that was the same brand that had been installed. I have 13 ft ceilings. In order to change the battery or test the units I used to have to pull out a full ladder! Now though, these have a 10 year battery, AND I can test them from my phone since they’re connected via WiFi. It’s so much easier! I travel for work. Because they’re connected over WiFi I’m also now able to see readings and get alerts while I’m gone. If there’s a problem I can call a neighbor, or 911. Beyond the convenience I feel like my home is safer since I’m able to monitor it from just about anywhere.

If you love your family DON'T BUY THIS
By iDoc on Reviewed in the United States on September 8, 2024
This is the worst few hundred dollars I've spent on my house. I have these installed all over my house. The only good thing I can say is that it's easy to "hush" them via the app and THANK GOODNESS. The number of false alarms is not only annoying, but it's dangerous. I've had these installed for over a year now and they yell FIRE and go off about 2-4x a month. Most recently, we've had 4 false alarms in the past 24 hours, 3 in the middle of the night. The danger part is that the false alarm is so expected at this point, that we assume every alarm is a false one. It's so bad that the pets in the house who usually freak out with alarms and doorbells barely register that the alarm is going off. I also have to warn overnight guests to assume the fire alarm is false until we investigate so they don't panic. The air quality monitor is pretty much useless as well. I have 2 other devices in the primary bedroom that happen to measure air quality as well. They are almost always in agreement, while this device's reports are really random and fluctuates unrealistically going from poor to good and back again for no reason. I had to also turn off those alerts. Customer service doesn't care at all. PLEASE take good care of your family and look for another option. We are.
