Works great with a misting system

I purchased for use in my greenhouse. I also purchased a Mr Mister and ran the lines thru the greenhouse and attached to the rain point. With several setting choices this has worked well. There is also the ability to instantly turn the system on for 10 min. However, I have only one faucet in my greenhouse so the ability to run a hose or wash pots was gone. This was solved by adding a 4 spigot attachment to the faucet - then adding the rain point to one of the spigots. I can now have the misting system attached and a hose attached and the ability to simply run water in the sink.

Failed soon after installation

The set-up was a bit clunky (especially the manual use feature), but that was ok, as the unit is inexpensive. Unfortunately, I installed this at a rental property so after an initial run-through, I trusted it to do what it was supposed to do. Coming back a month later, I found the unit with 1) the display off and 2) the water running. I had installed fresh batteries, so I don’t understand why they ran down so quickly, but they did. I have no idea how long the sprinklers were running, as the tenants didn’t notice, but they may have been going for up to a month! I’m terrified to see my next water bill and I’m upset to have wasted so much water in a place that is historically prone to drought conditions (Los Angeles). I’d like to replace this with a new one but cannot do so with one from the same company, as I don’t want to take a chance on the same thing happening with a new one. Seems to me that if the display goes off, the default should be to STOP the water, no?
