Much Better Cleaner than my old Polaris
By WJC3 on Reviewed in the United States on June 10, 2024
There were mixed reviews on this product but I decided to give it a try knowing I had 30 days to see how it worked in my 20X40 cement pool. I am happy to report I am definitely keeping it after a slow start. When it arrived I couldn’t get the robot to connect to the Beatbot app. Very frustrating but decided that I would start using it without the connectivity and deal with that later. As most reviews said it takes awhile for the Robot to learn your pool to clean it more efficiently. The battery at first was only lasting about 90 minutes on quick mode and 110 minutes on standard mode which cleans walls in addition to the floor. But in that amount of time I was very pleased with how well the robot cleaned my pool although a few spots were missed in the shallow end. But where it cleaned, it did it way better than the annoying Polaris that was always stuck on my steps or the hose all tangled up after only 30 minutes of barely cleaning. This robot really gets the pool much, much cleaner. It does my steps in the pool but doesn’t get caught or stuck on them and also does the walls. To be honest I have used it about 14 times and I have never seen it clean the surface but I didn’t buy it for that anyway. The other day I finally figured out how to get the device connected to the app. I had to switch from my home network that has two 3rd party extenders to the regular home network without the extenders and it connected immediately. What Verizon FIOS told me was their router is 5ghz when you are right next to it but when you move farther away it reverts back to 2.4ghz. So when you connect the robot to the app just make sure you are some distance away from your router and it should work fine. Now the app shows me how long it cleaned and what mode it was using. Since I connected it to the app and upgraded the firmware, the battery has lasted as much as 2 hours and 24 minutes in standard mode which is ample time to clean most of my 40,000 gallon pool. The best part is the robot is wireless so no wires or hoses to get tangled up in the pool. I also found their support to be very responsive on the phone and also via email and they told me a full charge takes about 3 hours and the app tells me how much charge is left. I put it in the pool first thing in the morning and when it is done I recharge mid day. If I think it needs more cleaning, I just put it back in the pool that afternoon. I have found that one cycle of 2 and a half hours normally does the job and the pool has never been cleaner. Now that the battery is lasting an adequate amount of time and the robot provides great suction and power to really clean the pool, I am very happy I purchased this Beatbot Acquasense.

Didn't clear pool after 4 attempts, didn't return to surface
By Ryan on Reviewed in the United States on June 11, 2024
I really wanted to love this robot, which has been marketed extremely well. Unfortunately, the product & customer experience does not live up to what is marketed. PROS + Robot did remove dirt/silt from pool + App is pretty + Customer service is responsive to initial inquiry + Charging is easy CONS - Robot did not clean full pool after 4 attempts; visible dirt/silt left - Robot lasted between 80 and 120 minutes on full charge - Robot did not return to surface at end of clean and needed to be fished out of the pool, and for some reason always the deep end - App doesn't allow you to do much and doesn't retain information; everything is in the robot itself - Customer service phrases things in a way to blame you, the user, and said this was not ordinary behavior; from other reviews, it seems this is unfortunately normal behavior for this robot and they have some work to do For reference, this was a large rectangular vinyl in-ground pool. Nothing crazy. Why 2 stars rather than 1? It kinda worked, customer service kinda tried, and this thing has the ability to be updated, so maybe it will get better for others in the future. Not for me though.
