Excellent wattage output on a lightweight solar panel
By zuma on Reviewed in the United States on April 1, 2024
This is a 120 watt solar panel made up of 4 panels and 3 legs. The handle is held by magnets, the legs by snaps (better than Velcro, worse than magnets). It is 21.75” x 18.5” x2” closed and 21.75” x 69” x 1.5” when opened. It weighed only 9.5 pounds on my scale. It is a little stiffer than the typical foldable solar panel and due to its light weight it makes set-up was a little more difficult. I got a very impressive 119 watts out of this panel making it almost at 100% efficient (per stated 120 watt output). This is the second impressive output I got on a foldable solar panel using my new tester. So I thought maybe something was wrong with the tester and I hooked this solar panel up to my Bluetti AC180 and got almost the same result (118 watt output). I guess they are making solar panels that put out closer to their stated wattage production these days, lol. So who makes this solar panel, on the Amazon description page it says the brand is “Acacia”, on the title it says “East Oak”, and on the manual it says “Green Pulse”. I think I will say it must be Green Pulse since that is what is says on the manual and solar panel. I am not an engineer or an electrician, I am just a typical consumer. Features per description: • 120 watt output • IP67 waterproof • Monocrystalline cells • 30% lighter than typical • 23% conversion rate • Made of Advanced Materials • 80% effectiveness after 10 years of usage • VOC = 24.4 volts Pros: • Excellent wattage output • Lightweight • Has a built-in sundial for correct angling to the sun • Uses ubiquitous MC4 connectors so hook up to anything will be easy using an adapter • Has built-in pouch for easy storage • Has parameters printed on panel (this is a pet peeve of mine, many do not do this) Neutrals: • Harder to set up due to its light weight and stiffness • Only 3 legs instead of 4 (it has 4 panels so best with 4 legs) Cons: • No ETFE coating (but it does say it has “advanced materials”) Comes with solar panel, MC4 to XT60 adapter and manual. Item came well packaged and was undamaged. Sorry but even though I list the photos a certain order, they tend to show up in a random order. I will keep this review up to date if any new issues arise as time passes.

Out Performs Power Specs But Quality Control Is Lacking
By Robert Hare on Reviewed in the United States on June 6, 2024
This has pronounced pluses and minuses. The fold open four panel design is light and easy to carry and easy to open and close. The panel material is durable. I tested it in late March in NE Pennsylvania on a sunny day and got better than specified power output at 135W (see the test meter photo). I really like the included solar alignment indicator - a very useful and thoughtful touch. However, the panel seems a bit overpriced for it's capabilities. It only has three kick stands which makes positioning the angle of the panels a bit more precarious. My biggest concern is with quality control. Shortly after I started using this panel, one of the fasteners for a kick stand fell off, leaving the kick stand flopping free - an irritant, not a functional limitation. But that makes me wonder what else might fail in the near future. There is too much competitively designed and priced portable solar panel equipment on the market to require putting up with these failings.
