Johnson Level Red Magnetic Laser

I recently had to bury some drain lines for my rain gutters and needed to make sure they had the proper slope down in order to drain fully and not have and low spots. I figured my laser pod would work great for that. I drove stakes at each end and strung a tight twine between them with the idea that I could level it and then measure down along it to make sure of the right depth of the drain pipe. I set up my green laser pod on a small tripod at one end and attempted to se the laser on the far stake. I could not see it so I took this target and placed it on the stake and I could barely make it out, not enough to know where I needed to set the string. I ended up using a sheet of white paper and that worked much better. The longest run was a little over 30 feet and it this target didn't help. It did work on the shorter runs but I just ended up using the sheet of paper like I did on the rest. I tested it in my large workshop and it did work fine there though.
