Best thing I ever purchased right here.

I excitedly unpacked my new purchase; I could tell immediately that I had a fine piece of machinery... but I wasn't sold yet. I was impressed by the metal deck (most of the electric mowers are made of plastic... I’m sure that bodes well with yard debris (i.e., rocks or sticks). I assembled it with minimal difficulty. The hardest part was lifting the main piece out of the box. I connected the handlebar to the already attached lower bar, turned the screws to tighten and secure the handlebar, ran the cord to snap into the cord holder, and it was ready to be powered up. This model, I found, is the best deal. You get the side chute where it spits out the grass (if you choose to use this mulching feature), and you get the bag as well. You can adjust the cut length as well. The price of it beats all the others I looked at with the attachments. The unit is light. You won't miss propulsion. Just use your legs. When I'm lazy and let the grass get long, the mower will struggle, but for me, this is just completely trivial. The thing is so light that you can use it like a vacuum cleaner one-handed, so if the grass is very long, you can go over everything multiple times with very little effort. Amazon offers a great price and amazing next-day delivery. The mower puts the rest of the electric mowers to shame, even the ones selling for a lot more. This isn't a Bushwhacker mower. If you have an acre of lawn, you might want to consider a noisy, polluting gas mower with a bigger mower, but for the typical suburban Arizona lawn, this can't be beaten for twice the price. OK, let's get down to brass tacks - do I like it? Um, duh...did you not see the five stars? If all you want is the bottom line, then yes! So, the time has come to check out the corded electric mower to make it even easier on me. I have a big & difficult yard to mow & it takes me 3 days to mow all of it. I was concerned about dragging a cord around, but I never even thought about it tripping my breaker in the house till I already had this new corded mower. I have enough extension cords for 200’. This corded electric mower lives up to its high ratings, if you are in the market for a corded electric, and not gas or cordless, this is a great choice you won't regret.

Not as advertised

I have a greenworks 14" 13 amp dethatcher/scarifier and thought I would upgrade, wider deck and 15.5 amp motor. I do some light commercial work as a side job doing lawncare and 1 of my more popular services is scarifying/dethatching. I thought it would also important to have the back up machine, so the idea was to keep the greenworks machine in reserve. After using it on 3 different properties I can say that in terms of the dethatching attachment, it's very effective. The 15.5 amp motor spins the tines faster then my greenworks model and does an excellent job dethatching. However the 16" is false advertising. I compared the cartridges on both models and they are the exact same size....sure the deck is wider, but the cartridges are the exact same size. So the actual work done on the job is no different. Next the scarifier attachment blades on this is a different design then my greenworks and not as effective. Extremely disappointed in the scarifying ability of this machine. From here on out I'll use my greenworks machine if the customer want's scarifying and this machine if they want dethatching. I would say, if you don't have a machine, this isn't a bad machine, but all around the Greenworks machine is better. Much better scarifier and only marginally worse at dethatching. The actual work done is the same, this model only has a wider looking deck. Plus the greenworks model is cheaper.
