Best Pool Robot Yet! It's a Total Game-Changer!
By William Neal on Reviewed in the United States on August 7, 2025
I don’t usually write long reviews, but the Aiper Scuba X1 completely deserves it. I’ve gone through multiple pool cleaners over the years, including some high-end corded models, and none of them compare to this one. From setup to performance, this robot has exceeded all my expectations. First off, cordless is everything. If you’ve ever dealt with a corded cleaner, you know the struggle....untangling cords, limited range, plugging and unplugging constantly. The Scuba X1 is 100% cordless and runs on wireless charging, so you don’t even have to fumble with a charge port. Just rinse it off and set it on the base. It clicks into place and charges quickly and cleanly. It feels futuristic compared to what I was used to. Battery life is outstanding. It runs for up to 3 hours, which is more than enough to do a full clean of my entire in-ground pool. There were multiple times I thought it would’ve died already, but I’d come out to find it still working away. It also returns to the wall when it's done, so it’s easy to grab with the hook and recharge. Cleaning performance is top-tier. I’m seeing a noticeable difference in overall pool clarity since switching to this model. I used to clean the pool multiple times a week with my old bot. Now, I’m down to once or twice a week because the Scuba X1 is so effective. My pool has honestly never looked better. The app is a really nice bonus. I didn’t think I’d care about app controls, but I actually use it a lot. You can select different cleaning modes like wall-only, floor-only, or full coverage. It also shows battery levels and lets you customize your cleaning sessions. Super intuitive and easy to use. Filters are easy to clean, which is important. They pop out easily, rinse clean in seconds, and go right back in. No fuss, no weird clips, and no guessing. That’s a huge improvement compared to some other brands I’ve tried in the past. Another surprising benefit is how well it helps circulate chemicals. Normally, after I add chlorine or other treatments, it takes hours and even into the next day for everything to mix fully. But with the Scuba X1, I just wait about 30 minutes after adding chemicals, drop the bot in, and within a few hours the water is fully circulated and balanced. It’s like having a built-in pool stirrer on top of a cleaner. A few other things I love: It’s quiet. You can’t really hear it running unless you're standing right over it. It climbs walls with ease and doesn’t get stuck. No annoying tangles or dock issues like I had with my older bots. The design is sleek and modern, and it feels well-built and premium. It's saved me time and effort, and I genuinely look forward to dropping it in the pool now. In short, this is the best pool robot I’ve ever owned. It’s not just a small upgrade, it’s a whole new level of convenience and performance. If you’re considering the Aiper Scuba X1, I can confidently say it’s worth every penny. You’ll use it all the time and probably wonder, like I did, why you didn’t get it sooner.

Buy a Different Pool Robot
By Zachary S Stoian on Reviewed in the United States on August 9, 2025
Terrible product. I purchased the Scuba to replace a Dolphin Triton PS that I had used for about six years. The Triton PS never had a single issue cleaning our 24' x 44' pool. It only started experiencing problems recently due to wear and tear over time. I thought the Scuba would be a nice upgrade—especially since it’s wireless. At the time of purchase, the Scuba had very good ratings and promised a lot, with features like long battery life and “smart” technology to clean the pool. However, the advertised 70,000-gallon capacity is completely inaccurate. My pool is 36,000 gallons, and the robot doesn’t even cover that. Each time it runs, it seems like very little cleaning is actually done. While there is always some debris in the basket, the pool floor often looks untouched. In some areas, I can see tracks where the robot passed, but overall, the cleaning is inconsistent and ineffective. At first, I thought it might be a one-time issue, but after using the robot for over two months, it’s clear this is just how poorly it performs. The difference compared to my old Dolphin robot is night and day. I’m seriously considering throwing this robot away and going back to Dolphin. A huge disappointment.
