Some barrels are born to be in rodeos. Some barrels are born to be on porches. And some barrels? They catch the rain.
When I was just a little barrel, I'd sit by the water spout all day. My brothers and sisters would be out in the dusty yard playing "Save The Rodeo Clown" and "Look Nice On The Ranch For Tourists" but me? I always knew I was born to be one thing: the barrel that saved up water in case of a drought.
But in my family? A family full of action barrels? Everyone just laughed at me. NO ONE WILL EVER WANT A RAIN BARREL they'd shout as I ran home in tears. Well, I say ran, but I'm a 50-Gallon Rain Barrel so I really sort of roll/waddled. But the point is, when I got home, I took the tears I'd saved and poured them out on the flowers, right through my high quality brass spigot.. And those flowers grew. Those. Flowers. GREW.
