But now, some of you are probably saying "Woot! You only gave male examples! These polarized safety sunglasses would work for men OR women!" Well… that's true. But the harsh bitter reality of the television world is that female role models of cool were really few and far between until… ooo… mid-80s? You know, those chicks on Hunter and Remington Steele and Cheers?

Sure, there's the Wonder Womans and the Thundercatses, who might have been much beloved female heroines, but never really wore sunglasses to speak of. And Charlie's Angels? C'mon. Like, c'mon.

So we found it very hard to think of a female version of the great TV heroes of old. But here's our compromise. Guys, if you want to wear these safety shades and feel like you're in Top Gun, do it! Enjoy yourself! And women, if you want to wear these shades, well, do it because you want to be a role model for that girl across the block who one day will come to our site and buy her own shades, because she remembers how cool YOU looked.

Because as long as you're buying them from us, we don't care what gender you are. To us, cool isn't based on gender. It's based on how much you spend.
