When fans gather, one question always arises: which Doctor Hose is your favorite? First, second or third?

For some of us, Doctor Hose has never really gone out of style. How many garden hose disasters in Earth's history have been prevented by the kindly old fella showing up to reel it in at the last possible second? And yet, each generation has a a new hero from the planet Hose-Reel-fry, so very different, yet so much the same.

For some, it's the First Doctor Hose, played by the 125 Foot Side Tracker Hose Reel. He traveled with his granddaughter and offered 125 feet of 5/8" hose capacity. He'd safely guide the hose through winding and keep it nestled (even through winter!) until the danger had passed. This Doctor Hose first met such scary monsters as the Wall-leks and the Cidermen, and first introduced us to his Elementary And Simple Yellow Laboratory Illusionary Natiform Knockoff, or as we know it, the EASYLINK system that ensures a watertight connection between reel and hose.

For others, it's the Second Doctor Hose, played by the 225 Foot Slide Trak Hose Handler Hose Reel. This fella was a bit of a trickster, likely to hold your 5/8" hose or your watering accessories, thanks to his storage tray. Some fans say this Doctor Hose is their favorite, but unfortunately a great many of his EASYLINK adventures are now unchronicled. Nevertheless, those that survive are well-regarded.

But it was the Third Doctor Hose, as played by the 100 Foot Hydro Power Auto Rewind Hose Reel, who truly captured the public's attention. Only folding 100 feet of 5/8" hose, this Doctor Hose had hands-free rewinding (a.k.a. neutron flow polarity reversal) with just the flip of a lever! Alongside his companions, Leader Hose and Discharge Tube, the third Doctor Hose spend most of the 1970s and/or 1980s defending the Earth, as the evil Hose-Reel-Fryians made sure this incarnation came with no EASYLINK system. Truly, a new direction!

So whichever Doctor Hose is your favorite, be it the pretty one or his father-in-law, know that the groundwork was laid by three Hose Reels who never once forgot how important it was for good to triumph over evil, and for hoses to be stacked neatly at the end of the day.
